with Hammerstein's Manhattan Opera, substituting for Mary Garden in Le
Jongleur de Notre-Dame. She was only mildly received in New York, but
had better success in London at Hammerstein's London Opera House. She
was called "brilliant" in a performance of the Mad Scene from Thomas's
Hamlet. She appeared at the Paris Opéra during the 1916-17 season. In
1959, she became a singing instructor at the Conservatory in Nice, the
city where she was born.
